Where my love of cooking started

Ever since I was little I have always loved to help out in the kitchen.  My earliest food memory is sitting across the bench from my mum while she made chocolate chip biscuits, mum always left the beaters and bowl for my sisters and I to enjoy.

Watching my mum baking her famous bread and all her delicious baked goods has always been a pleasure for me.  My Nana is also a wonderful cook and always had a freshly baked cake or slice in her kitchen.  Both women have been strong influences on my love of food and how I cook for my family today.

I love to create simple and tasty recipes that the whole family can enjoy.  Whether is is a slow cooked dish, a roast or even a simple salad it is always made from the heart to express my love.

I hope that I can encourage you to start your own food journey in your own kitchens.

I’d love to hear from you and to see what you have created.

  1. Hey Lauren, one tip I learned is to make sure you provide your email contact details on a page like this! You never know who might want to talk to you about your blog. I created a gmail account for Emmas Garden Grows, so maybe think of doing one for Adventures of the Whisk as well
