Anzac Day this year will be very different for all of us. There will be no dawn services, followed by a gun fire breakfast and watching the veterans on the TV or along our tree lined streets. Anzac Day this year will be a quiet reflection in our driveways with candles and the last post, watching the sun rise with their memories in our hearts.
Anzac Day is very dear to our family as we lost two brothers in the First World War.
We will hold all our fallen soldiers in our hearts on this treasured day – LEST WE FORGET
Another lovely tradition for Anzac Day is baking a batch of Anzac Biscuits. This also opens a can of worms as to whether or not you like them crunchy or chewy – I personally like them crunchy and sometimes even with some hazelnut spread in the middle or drizzled in chocolate, not traditional but still taste amazing.
