EASTER AT HOME 2020

Well Easter hasn’t been at all what we were all expecting has it.  Stuck at home in isolation, not being able to see family or enjoy a long and lazy lunch with our nearest and dearest.   I was determined to still make it special at home by decorating the table, baking treats and making a roast lunch with all the trimmings.

Good Friday my mum always makes her famous Hot Cross Buns – this year she made a batch and delivered to our door – Nanna Uber Eats.   They certainly didn’t disappoint!

I made homemade potato cakes to go with our fish at dinner and they were amazing, even though I burnt the roof of my mouth, I would hands down take the chance again with how good these were.  I delivered a bowl full to our next door neighbour, she loved them.

Easter Sunday was all about new PJS, easter egg hunts and a roast lunch with all the trimmings.

I know this situation isn’t going to be forever, I am grateful for all that we have and the ability to FaceTime, Zoom and HouseParty with friends and family over this crazy time.  It was a quiet weekend, but it was full of love and memories made with my boys.
